How To Create A Skin Care Routine With Zero Skincare Products

Sharing is caring!

Before we get into how to create a skin care routine with zero skincare products, let’s just say that a lot of people take their skin for granted. Many people don’t even realize that the body’s largest organ is its skin. People are always busy, no matter what their age, gender, race, or occupation is. From work to school, to sports and even walking around in their own home, people are always doing something. This can take a toll on anyone’s skin.

From pollutants that block pores like dirt, to access oils produced with sweat and not to mention the obvious and painful injuries like burns and scrapes that can happen from anything to anyone anywhere. Let’s face it, skin goes through a lot. Speaking about faces, the above facts are especially true for the skin on someone’s face.

Zero products doesn’t mean zero skincare!

A face is the most important thing for a person when it comes to who they are. From picking up on an expression to memorizing someone that you have just met, you always need to make sure to put your best face forward. This is easier said than done though. As a face is always exposed to the environment, that makes it much more susceptible to pollutants which can cause less than wanted effects. Due to this, everyone should have a skin care routine that they follow regularly.

However, no matter what all those commercials say about only being able to achieve dream skin results by using their chemically-laden skincare products, it’s not true. Skincare products that are available in today’s market are often full of chemicals that can harm a person’s skin if it is used as part of someone’s skin care routine. Of course, anyone can always buy natural skincare products, but these are often way too expensive for the average person to use as part of their regular skin care routine.

So what’s the solution?

Create a skin care routine without any products! Here’s how to do it.

Dedicate the time to your Skin Care Routine

Your skin care routine should consist of twice-daily treatment. This should be done right in the morning and at the end of the day. In the morning, your skin will benefit from a proper treatment after a night full of rolling around on an oily pillow that probably has been drenched in sweat as well. At night, your skin will benefit from washing and scrubbing away all the pollutants that have built up on your skin during the day.

Determine your skin type

Commercial skin care products are often labelled such as skin care products for acne, skin care products for men, skin care products for oily skin, skin care products for dry skin, skin care products for sensitive skin, and so on. Therefore, everyone’s skin is unique. Some people have oily skin while other people have dry skin. It’s usually easy to determine which one you have. All you have to do is wash your face but don’t put on anything afterwards. Wait for a while until you notice your skin starting to react. If your skin starts to crack, then you have dry skin. On the other hand, if your skin starts to appear shinier, then you have oily skin. Some people have a combination of oily skin and dry skin where both results will occur if they try this experiment.

Locate your issues

As well, besides the type of skin someone might have, many people also have specific concerns that they would like to eliminate through a skin care routine. This can include acne, blackheads, enlarged pores, scarring, rashes, uneven skin tone, sagging, wrinkles and more.

Skin Care Routine With Zero Skincare Products: Know the basics

Whatever skin care routine you choose to create without the use of any skincare products, every skincare routine should include the 2 basic steps. The first basic step is cleansing the skin. By cleansing the skin, you are getting rid of any harmful pollutants which could damage or irritate the skin. The second basic step is moisturizing. By moisturizing the skin, you are locking in the skin’s moisture levels by sealing the pores of the skin from being exposed to the open air. If left untreated, the skin will react in the same manner that it did when you experimented previously when trying to determine your skin type. As well, some people might want to include a third step. This third step occurs between cleansing and moisturizing the skin. This middle step is called toning. Toning is the application of some type of toner that is used to aid a certain skin issue.

Experiment until you find what suits you best!

As previously mentioned, everyone’s skin is different. This is why you need to experiment with different skin care routines until you find one that works for you. There are many natural and almost homemade skin care products that you can use. These homemade skin care products don’t involve heavy chemicals and can be made with what you have lying around in your home already or that you can find in nature. It is recommended that you try one skin care product at a time so that you can easily see if it works or not. Soon, you will have the perfect skin care routine.
